The Orantes family, missionaries to Brazil, take ministry outside of their church on Saturdays. They visit different neighborhoods, doing discipleship with children and families. Several of these families have begun attending church on Sundays. One man, a new Christian, struggles with alcoholism. He had never been interested in church, but since church began coming to him, and the Orantes have formed a relationship with him, he has begun coming to church on Sundays. His wife, who previously had spiritual idols, has gotten rid of them and begun reading the Bible each day with her husband. The Orantes say, “We are believing for spiritual victories this year for these friends and others. … We know that God is working and through His Word and Spirit there will be transformation for their good and God’s glory!”
- Pray for this new Christian man and his wife as they pursue Jesus and leave behind their old lives.
- Intercede for the other families and friends struggling with the grips of sin.
- Pray that new doors to ministry open across Brazil.
