Seeking Jesus’ Peace

Pray for three sisters who are seeking Jesus. Global workers in South Asia have a friend named Karuna*, whom they have known for three years. Karuna and her two sisters come from a Hindu family. These global workers explain that these sisters are challenging to reach because of their “strong will.” However, when the sisters face challenges in life, they reach out to these global workers, share their struggles, and always ask for prayer “over a cup of chai or a meal.” These sisters come away from these meetings with a sense of peace. One of these global workers shares, “It’s nobody else but Jesus who gives them that peace, and I am sure deep down in their heart they know that it’s Him who comforts them.” Pray for these sisters as they seek the source of their peace.

  • Pray that Karuna and her sisters are continually pointed back to Jesus and His peace.
  • Pray that these sisters fully open their hearts to the gospel and salvation.

God Provided a Friend

A global worker in South Asia experienced some difficulty making close, local friends. While on an evening prayer walk, she told God of her desire to make a friend. The next day, in a chance encounter prompted by the Holy Spirit’s nudging, she met a young woman named Aadya*, and they spent the day together. This global worker reports that since then, they “have been able to develop a sweet friendship filled with dance classes, exploring their city together, and sharing conversations about faith, loneliness, relationships, etc.” Aadya comes from a culturally Orthodox background but does not have a personal relationship with Jesus. Pray for this growing friendship.

  • Pray that Aadya sees Jesus through new Christian friends. 
  • Pray that this worker has more open doors to boldly share the gospel.
  • Pray that Aadya would be open to study the Bible.
